This week is Love Week, a week set aside for you to encounter with God’s love and let it overflow from you to others. At daily Mass throughout the week, pray for the following intentions, and meditate on the prayers.
Day 1: Pray for your future spouse
Dear Heavenly Father, Who said, “It is not good that the man should be alone,” I come to you to bless the one who will be my life partner, be it a man or woman in marriage or Christ Himself in the religious life.
In Your tender mercy direct me to a companion who will appreciate me and requite my love. I do not want to be alone, but would prefer to share my joys and sorrows with another- one in my faith and my way of life.
I pray to You for guidance in the life of this person who will be my spouse. Visit him/her with your grace and your love. Guide my life also that I may glorify you in whatever vocation you have prepared for me. Hear my prayer for the sake of Him who blessed marriage by His presence during His ministry on earth, and through the intercessions of St. Raphael and St. Joseph. Amen.
Day 2: Pray to overcome your dominant sin
Forgive me my sins, O Lord, forgive me my sins; 
the sins of my youth, the sins of my age, the sins of my soul,
the sins of my body; my idle sins, my serious voluntary sins;
the sins I know, the sins I do not know; the sins I have concealed
for so long, and which are now hidden from my memory.
I am truly sorry for every sin, mortal and venial,
for all the sins of my childhood up to the present hour.
I know my sins have wounded Thy Tender Heart,
O My Savior, let me be freed from the bonds of evil through
the most bitter Passion of My Loving Redeemer.
O My Jesus, forget and forgive what I have been and shelter me in your blessed love forever. Amen.
Day 3: Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit into your heart.
O Holy Spirit,
Divine Spirit of light and love,
I consecrate to Thee my understanding,
heart, and will,
my whole being for time and eternity.
May my understanding be always submissive
to Your heavenly inspirations,
and to the teaching of the Catholic Church,
of which You are the infallible guide;
may my heart be ever inflamed
with Love of God and of my neighbor;
may my will
be ever conformed to the Divine will.
Pour into me the immeasurable gift of Yourself
so that my whole life may be a faithful communion
in the life and virtues of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
to whom with the Father and Thee
art true and perfect love, total fulfillment, everlasting joy. Amen.
Day 4: Pray for the teacher you have the hardest time loving.
Lord God,
your spirit of wisdom fills the earth
and teaches us your ways.
Look upon our teachers, especially ________ whom I am having a difficult time loving.
Help him/her to love You more deeply and to grow in virtue. Help me to love this person with Charity no matter what feelings I may have towards them.
Show me how to see in loving them the mystery of your Divine Love for me.
Grant that he/she may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life,
for ever and ever. Amen.
Day 5: Pray for the unborn, and the conversion of abortionists and President Barack Obama.
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected. I pray for the conversion of our elected officials, especially President Obama that they may stand up for Life and put an end to this tragedy of Abortion.Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
Day 6: Pray for a greater devotion to Mary.
PRAYER FOR LOVE OF JESUS AND MARY by St. Alphonsus de Liguori
O MARY, of all creatures you are the noblest, the purest, the holiest, the most sublime, the most beautiful. Oh, that all knew you, my Lady, and loved thee as thou deserveth!
I too, though I am a sinner, love thee, my most amiable Queen. And yet I love thee too little. I long to love thee with a greater and more tender affection, and it is thou who must obtain this grace for me. To love thee is a singular mark of predestination, a grace that God grants to those who are saved.
Then too, my Mother, I realize my great obligation to love thy Son; I see that He deserves an infinite love. Since thou desireth so much to see Him loved, obtain this grace for me — a deep love for Jesus Christ.
I have no wish for earthly goods, for honors, for riches. I ask for that which thine heart desires far more, to love my God alone. Is it likely that thou wilt not help me in my desire, which is so pleasing to thee? Ah no, for even now thou art praying for me.
But I am consoled in thinking that so many Souls in Heaven and saintly people on earth love thee for thy goodness and beauty. Above all, I rejoice that God Himself loves thee alone, more than He loves all men and Angels together.
Pray for me, Mary; pray and never cease to pray until thou dost greet me in Heaven. There I shall possess my God forever . There too I shall possess my dearest Mother. Amen.
Day 7: Pray for a lasting, intimate union with Christ
O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, Who, by the will of the Father, with the cooperation of the Holy Spirit, have by Your death given life to the world, deliver me by Your Most Sacred Body and Blood from all sins and from every evil. Make me always cling to You and Your commmandments, and never permit me to be separated from Your Love. You are the essence of Love itself, and I consecrate myself to you, through the intercession of Your Holy Mother Mary. This love week, you have showed us by your Passion what it means to love, and by the blood that poured from your pierced side, you reveal the overflowing love you have for us. Today, I desire to respond to Your call, and enter into that everlasting union you desire with us.
